Cherry Creek Golf Club New Year's Eve Wedding

Updated: Mar 3, 2020

On the eve of a new year, Amanda + George made it unforgettable by getting married surrounded by family and friends during a glittering wedding and reception at Cherry Creek Golf Club. The heart-felt words and raucous laughter made this a really enjoyable wedding to film. My cinematography and Breanne’s photography (Breanne Rochelle Photography) always complement each other, she’s one of my very favorites!

The day started with Amanda and her bridesmaids getting ready, wearing matching silky robes and adding the finishing touches to a well-coordinated dance. The bridesmaids wore long sparkling gowns, the perfect touch to a New Year’s Eve wedding, especially when topped off with their white faux-mink stoles. Amanda’s dress had a beautiful lace bodice and a full tulle skirt with matching veil with a subtle sparkling head band.

The ceremony was at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Macomb Township, just north of Detroit. Amanda + George wrote their own vows, which were kind, heartfelt and meaningful. The church was still decorated for Christmas, which added a beautiful and festive touch. Many of the guests dressed for the New Year’s occasion, and I filmed many sparkling sequin dresses.

The reception, which doubled as the best New Year’s Eve party, was held at Cherry Creek Golf Club. The guests were treated to a lovely dinner in an opulent ballroom, accented with gold chairs, menus and glitzy lights. The toasts were the perfect mix of heartfelt and hilarious, and I was happy I could capture them forever. I was happy to catch a sweet moment of Amanda holding hands with her grandmother too. Those little details are the easiest to forget.

The Rhoedes Band got everyone out of their seats and onto the dance floor. The dancing lasted late into the night. The finishing touch on the reception was Amanda + George ringing in the new year at midnight. Their New Year’s kiss was one they will never forget, with Auld Lang Syne playing in the background, and at the beginning of a new year and a brand-new marriage together.
