Monica R. Sholar is a Detroit School of Arts graduate best known for her Michigan-based suspense-thriller novels. Sholar’s storytelling has earned cover-story features in Women 2 Women and Detroit’s BLAC Magazine. Literary collaborations include FBI, National Guard, and Bureau of Diplomatic Security officers and agents.
In the spring of 2016, Sholar launched her first work of non-fiction, Please Pardon My Dust: I'm Under Construction, a motivational book that shares uplifting success stories of Michigan women.
In addition to writing, Sholar visits schools and other organizations to encourage others to pursue their passions.
