More Awesome Detroit Wedding Venues

Updated: Mar 6, 2020

We're at it again! We couldn't pick just 5 of our favorite Detroit Wedding Venues. We love filming weddings throughout the city of Detroit. There's just something about a wedding film with Detroit as the backdrop. Whether it's the Detroit skyline, the historical building with so many stories and beautiful decor, or the huge space ready to be danced in.

Detroit is the perfect place for your wedding! Below are my more of my favorite Detroit Wedding Venues and wedding films. Grab some popcorn!

I’m going to bet this venue is not on everyone’s radar and it should be. This venue is a total home run. The Motor City Sound Board is the perfect venue for a ceremony and reception combo. The venue is spacious and it’s perfect to make your own. You can use draped fabric and up lighting to completely transform the room, or not. Then there is the 16th floor restaurant, Amnesia which gives you breathtaking views of the city with floor to ceiling windows. The overhead lighting gives a whimsical yet modern feel. The best part is people have no excuses to not dance all night long when their accommodations are just a few steps away.

This is an oldie but goodie and we can’t get enough of it. The team there is full service and helps with everything. This is a great spot for brides who might not want to hire a wedding planner. Depending on what size of your guest list, there are options. Both rooms have incredible views of the Detroit River. The outdoor pergola is perfectly placed by the water for a ceremony followed by cocktails on the patio and concluding the evening overlooking the river busting good (or bad) dance moves all night long.

This venue screams romance! Its history and detail are magical. Whether you choose to have the party inside or outside, or maybe both – you’ll surely leave your guests talking about you wedding for decades to come. The rich history and intricate detail of the grand lobby will have you speechless. The space doesn’t need much, so if you’re not keen on a ton of extra decorations this might be the spot for you.

This venue needs little introduction and is a fan favorite. Diego Rivera’s masterpiece spans four walls and includes twenty-seven paintings that took nine months of labor-intensive work to complete. This is symbolic of the beautiful masterpiece that can come out of hard work, like a marriage. Why not make this the spot where you commit yourself to one another? This venue is perfect for the modern bride looking for a unique and breathtaking venue. Décor cold be simplistic or extravagant. Either would work.

The Guardian Building is a historic gem that should be cherished forever. The sky-high arched ceilings with intricate detail boast the perfect atmosphere for a ceremony and reception combo. The warm gold and jewel tones would be perfect for any season. Crisp white flowers and glowing candles would complete any centerpiece. This is a perfect city venue with so much romance.
